A powerful combination of scent and touch. Aromatic reflexology blends the benefits of reflexology with the therapeutic properties of essential oils. Each balm is freshly created for you using carefully chosen oils to support your mood, stress levels and overall balance. You’ll also take home any remaining balm to continue your relaxation and emotional wellbeing at home.
Your journey with Soleful Reflexology begins with a short, friendly telephone chat. This gives us a chance to connect and ensures there are no medical contraindications before your reflexology treatment.
Before your first appointment, I’ll send a simple online consultation form for you to complete at your own pace. This helps me understand more about your health, lifestyle, and overall wellbeing. When we meet, we may explore some of these areas in more depth so I can tailor your reflexology session to your individual needs. Together, we’ll agree on a treatment plan designed to support you and your goals.
Many of my clients notice benefits after their very first session, such as feeling deeply relaxed, sleeping better, or feeling more balanced and centred. Reflexology works cumulatively, however, and the most lasting improvements to your health and wellbeing are usually experienced through regular, ongoing treatments.

Ahead of your first treatment, you'll need to complete a new client information form online which will ask questions about your medical history, current health and lifestyle, what medication you may be taking and your reason for seeking reflexology. This not only maximises our appointment time but also flags any contra-indications or cautions when you might need to obtain your GPs consent before treatment. All your personal data will be treated totally confidential in accordance with GDPR.
At the beginning of your session we will have a chat about the information you provided. You’ll need to take your shoes and socks off (nothing else) and be made cosy and comfortable in a reflexology recliner chair with pillows and a blanket. The treatment will start with some relaxation techniques to open up the reflexes. This will be followed by the application of gentle pressure using specific finger and thumb techniques across the reflexes, one foot at a time. As I’m working and notice any areas of imbalance, I may take some notes which I will discuss with you at the end of the treatment.
During the treatment most people feel relaxed and may fall asleep. You may feel tingling or twitching sensations, get warm or cold, feel emotional, get a rumbling stomach or thirsty. You may also feel discomfort or tenderness in reflexes that show an imbalance. This is all normal and it means your body is reacting to reflexology.
After your treatment I may give you some self-care tips which will help prolong the positive effects of the treatment.
Reflexology cannot diagnose or cure health conditions, but during a treatment I may identify particular areas of imbalance which may reflect an area of the body that is out of balance or working harder to maintain your wellbeing.
Reflexology is a deeply relaxing complementary therapy which helps to reduce stress and supports your body’s natural ability to heal itself. It does not replace conventional medicine. Please consult your GP if you are concerned about your health.
Reflexology is a gentle and non-invasive therapy that helps to relax and destress the body and mind. The pressure is firm in most cases but it shouldn’t hurt. However, discomfort, tenderness can be felt on reflexes that are out of balance.
Most people experience positive feelings during and after a reflexology treatment such as feeling relaxed and a sense of wellbeing.
As reflexology starts to rebalance and unblock energy pathways, and the body’s own healing response kicks in, it is entirely normal and common to experience some mild, temporary symptoms.
These can include light headedness, tingling, headache or other referred pains, becoming cold or hot, tiredness, increased bowel movements and urination, increased mucus, heightened emotions, rumbling stomach, becoming thirsty, etc.
These are all normal and mean that your body has reacted to reflexology, and the elimination of toxins and what does not serve you have started. They should disappear in the next 24-48 hours after treatment. You may not experience these again during/after subsequent treatments.
After the treatment you should allow your body to rest. Remember to eat light and healthy, and drink lots of water after the treatment to improve your body's detox.
This really depends on your individual circumstances as everyone is different. My recommendation to those suffering from an active illness, chronic stress or other symptoms that negatively impact their quality of life is to start off with weekly or fortnightly treatments for the first 4-6 sessions. For maintaining good health and wellbeing a treatment once a month is recommended.
Consistency is key because reflexology tunes in to your body’s natural cycle and rhythm, so having your treatments on the same day/time every week or month is ideal. Together we will review and revise your treatment plan at regular intervals to suit your needs.
Of course, reflexology may also be used as an occasional treat if you just want some 'time out' to de-stress and relax. Include it as part of your self-care plan or purchase a session as a gift for someone special.
Yes. Reflexology involves a degree of pressure with intention and most clients are able to accept this without problems. If, however, your feet are still too sensitive we can continue with hand reflexology.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing so that you can gain maximum relaxation. It is helpful if you are able to roll up trousers to the knee so I can work on your lower legs.
Please contact me at least 24 hours before your appointment, otherwise you might be charged a full price.
